The UEFA Foundation for Children, new partner of UVS International did its first huamanitarian trip.

From February 7th to 17th, 15 UEFA employees were involved in the first solidary trip organized by the UEFA Foundation for Children in cooperation with UVS International. This project puts forward the common will of both organizations to help children who live in disadvantaged communities.

The main objective was to renovate school of Vitilya with different scheduled activities:

• renovation of inside and outside walls
• restoring roots
• renovation of school furniture (tables and seats)
• repairing the exterior cladding

Living with host families enabled travelers to be fully immersed into the life of the community and to understand better what kind of problems inhabitants faced on their daily life. Another huge aspect of this project is to facilitate access to sport to the remote communities. Thus, two containers full of school and sports material sent by UEFA Foundation are going to be used by the 400 pupils and their teachers. It was a first but very emotional trip for these solidary travelers who had been able to bring something to this solidary program.
